P is for Pillows

Today is brought to you by the letter "P." First pants (see below) and now pillows are on the brain. In an attempt to stylify the apartment, I'd like to punch up the khaki and gray colors that my bf likes to decorate with (hi honey!). These options range from kitschy to modern to bold...and I love them all!

Celebrating Earth Day

It's my feeling that we should think about the Earth everyday. Well, here are some fun ways to say "thanks World, I get you and appreciate you!" along with some Earth Day resolutions.

~ BYOB:

Design by Red Paper Record

Since I still have loads of plastic bags around the house...I'm going to start grabbing one as I leave home for a walk and pick up some litter along the way!

~ Enjoy this terra-inspired design:

Fruit Bowl Design by Fluid Earth

Or take some time to talk to the kids I know about conservation...it's amazing how one kid can make a difference if they are learn to conserve early on in life!

~ Make/Buy art with recycled media

"Among Her Things" Collage by Brush With Imagination

I'm going to start digging in to that pile of old notes, concert tickets, foreign change, photos...and make some art of my own!

Wear vintage:

70's Dress found at Ma Petite Amy

I'm going to invite an honest friend over, try on old clothes, and make some decisions on what is cluttering up my closet and my life!

Form + Function

I like the blog Design-Milk.  Not just because the name wants me to find some fancy cookies to eat when I read it, but b/c she regularly shares some cool pieces like these:
A eco-friendly water filter from Aquaevo I wouldn't mind giving up kitchen space for.

Concerto Table -  a la Love Grove & Pucci - so I can pretend to play piano in a more believable setting.
