I've admired the work of Whitney Smith on Etsy for a while now. It's time I shared her stuff here!

Happy Leap Day!

Project Runway...in the mean time

While we wait for the finale next week...let's take a peek at judge, Nina Garcia's, book. Who wouldn't love some of Nina's style (and Tim's character, Michael Kors vision, and Heidi's legs)?

Personal note: Today would have been my grandmother's 80th birthday. She was a very stylin' woman. I would love to have had a chance to debate the merits of PR fashion with her.

SF Ballet Celebrates 75 years

Congratulations are in order, to both the SF Ballet, and to Janice Ross for her book celebrating their 75th Anniversary. As an undergrad, I was lucky enough to take a Dance History course with Prof. Ross. Her careful curating of material for the class is reflected in her work on this beautiful book.
Take a peek inside.

Santa Barbara

(Photo from National Geographic Print Store)
Recently, spent a weekend w/ Matt and some friends camping near Santa Barbara.
The guys got some pretty great waves, and we were *this* close to Kelly Slater as he ran by on the beach.
Can't wait to go back.

All the black and red nearly bored me to tears...save a few highlights (Jennifer, Heidi, and Anne Hathaway). Loved Amy's hair with the green, and Keri's necklace/simple gown combo. I'm giving Ellen Page a hall pass for her bad bad look. Tilda and Mrs. Daniel Day had no excuse.

January Top Ten List

(inspired by my friend, Jamie)

2008 is going to be a great year...here are my top reasons why January started it off so well

10. watching some great movies like Juno, Atonement, Waitress, and Once
9. spending time w/ friends - especially when discovering cool spots like the Wine Room in Palo Alto
8. watching Project Runway challenges
7. hearing Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra play at Stanford
6. receiving Amish Friendship Bread from Jen and baking some myself
5. shopping on Etsy for cool posters like this
4. talking to my nephews about their new rain boots and art projects
3. exercising w/ work friends - my triceps never worked so hard!
2. Spending time w/ Matt at the coast
1. I passed!

File under jealousy

There is a blog called Dooce

I've been following it for a while now, mostly to see Heather's awesome photographs of her sweet pup, Chuck. Here's what I mean:

Well, it turns out she just got a puppy. I am beside myself. Here is Coco:

Enjoy. Or join me in my tiny studio of envy.

Happy 2008!

So, my resolutions don't really exist. That means I am not a total blogger slacker!

Christmas in El Paso was terrific and delicious! Spending time with my nephews was the highlight. Here is my favorite pic of the year:
