The New York Spring 2010 Fashion Week begins next Thursday, just as I'm getting excited about pulling out my boots and sweaters! While the fashion world is always two seasons ahead, I look back on some lovely Fall 2009 offerings to remind us that maybe living in the moment isn't so bad!
I fell in love with this Lela Rose dress for it's adaptable qualities. While it is quite expensive (over $1k) I will be on the hunt for a similar shape in a soft green color for Fall. Click the links to see details on the accessories.
Try your hand at Mad Men Yourself...It's like paper dolls for the new millennium. Here's what I came up with: The show's styling highlights the best of 60's fashion...I'm counting the days until the next season's premier on August 16th.
Alberta Ferretti I thought this collection was worth sharing. I admire the designer's use of color combined with the neutrality of khaki. The nipped in waist with subtle pleating and a bareshouldered top is something I would like to work into my wardrobe. Um...maybe after some posture-improving yoga.
Basso and Brooke This designer's use of color in patterns are so fluid and textured...it adds so much dimension to each of these looks. All are so head-turningly beautiful.
Love these cuffs. They are a little hard and a little soft. A great counterpoint for a simple outfit of jeans and a white tee. Perfect for a prepster like me who grew up with a fantasy of jumping on stage with her brother's punk-rock band.
