Golden Globes 2011 Hits and Misses

YES! Simple sheaths shined! Eva Longoria in Zac Posen and Emma Stone in Calvin Klein

NO!When did Christina Aguilera (in Zuhair Murad) turn into a pale Snooki and Leighton Meister (in Burberry Prorsum) turn into a school marm?

YES! Going Green: Angelina in Atelier Versace and Catherine Zeta-Jones in Monique Lhullier

NO! Bad dresses can be either over-the-top or underwhelming, as evidenced by Helena Bonham Carter in Vivienne Westwood and Halle Barry in Nina Ricci.

YES! Mila Kunis rocking the color of the evening by Vera Wang and Olivia Wilde in Marchesa showing everyone that sparkles never go out of style.

No! Oh January (in Versace)...that top and that fringe? And Scarlett Johanssen in Elie Saab did her best Bride of Frankenstein impression without saying a word.

What to Wear: Girls Weekend

This weekend my best friends and I are headed to Paso Robles - a town in California's Central Coast region known for its burgeoning wine industry, and hot springs. Here is what my imagination would pack in our suitcases from the Resort 2011 collections:

Neutral Togs for Horseback Riding
Helmut Lang, Hanii Y, Max Azria and Thakoon

Bright and Bold Wine-tasting Wear
Dior, D Squared, Oscar de la Renta and Just Cavalli

Coquettish Cocktail dresses for a special birthday dinner
Collette Dinnigan, Chris Benz, Antonio Berardi and Giambattista Valli

Maybe it was finding that fantastic a&w guy who filled the rest of my 2010 with adventures, laughs and love. Whatever the case, I realized I missed this outlet that allows me to share my favorite things with friends. Even better, my a&w guy encouraged me to start posting again and see where it takes me in 2011. Here goes nothing...
